INTERESTING Hybrid Ancients + Range Pking QUESTIONS

With 99 range and 94 mage+ancients I have an interesting time balancing mage with range weapons/armour hoping that the balance of both will be perfect for my magic and range bonuses. However, I just came into the information that magic level will determine how many times you avoid damage from a magic spell.

Now, will this magic level affect the amount of times I get hit and the amount I get hit by or will it decrease the amount of times I am able to freeze a target or both?

None of the following questions refer to damage done, only the effect of the spell:

Does magic level affect whether or not you freeze a target runescape? (For example will a magic level of 82 have the same effect of freezing a target than a level 94)

Does magic bonus affect whether or not you freeze a target runescape?

Does magic level affect whether or not you teleblock a target runescape?

Does magic bonus affect whether or not you teleblock a target runescape?

Just think of castlewars, when that dude in full bandos suddenly barrages those piling him. His magic level is 99 and he might have more XP then his opponents. You wouldn't be able to do that with 94 mage. I heard magic XP plays a part too.

The best bet is to get 14m+ magic xp for less fails/splashes.

 

Lmao, xp doesn't play a part in anything, only full levels.

99 Mage = more chance of hitting/less chance of being hit.

 

Yes, the bigger level you have the bigger chance you have to freeze/entangle/teleblock your opponent or to hit a bigger hit, the same is with other skills.

 

What about Mage Bonus? Will that have a significance on the freezing effect in ancients?

What does Attack Mage Bonus do besides increase damage done?

 

Basically, the higher the mage level and the higher the mage bonus, the more often you'll be hitting/freezing instead of splashing.

Does anyone know what should the minimum effective mage bonus be for a ranger-hybrid attempting to freeze an opponment from running out of the wild.

im pretty sure magic attack bonus only makes it more likely to hit not increase damage. Magic damage % increases only the amount if damage done.. so think of it as the higher magic level + higher magic bonus = higher percentage to hit depending on the opponents mage lvl + mage defense...

 

Haha, the problem is that everyone has opinions and there is no known research that has looked into this so I am relying on masters of pking to know this from experience.

But magic XP doesn't help at all, trust me.

 

As others have said it is yes to all just like with skills such as cooking to burning etc
XP doesnt make a shits worth of difference, its just used as a number between levels

94-99 should make much difference, but 85 compared to 99, does.
As for ranging maging (fcing) Which IMO, is skillful, if you can hybrid is fine.
Try get plus magic.
