Thoughts on Aion

Hey guys i can get my hands on 2 CDkeys for aion for $20 each. Lot's of people have elaborated that people who play World Of Warcraft will not take a liking to Aion. I have heard many thing about Aion some say the end game content is "Broken" other words meaning no good. Other comment that the PvP is great. So i am wondering what you guys would think? I have quite a history of raiding during my time of playing World of Warcraft most of "The Burning Crusade" expansion pack raids i completed Kara, Black Temple, Grulls etc.. In Wrath of the Lich King i completed all new content as they were released in the patches; 10/25 Nax, 10/25 The Obsidian Sanctum 3 drakes up, 10/25 Malygos, 10/25 ToC, 10m ToGc, 10/25 Uldar including Yogg, 12/12 10m ICC, 11/12 25M Icc, 6/12 HM 25 ICC

 

I have very good BC/WOTLK and even cata raiding experience, and I tried out Aion. I absolutely fucking hated it. Worst waste of money ever, it's like a failed copy of guild wars, I cannot describe how bad this game is in comparison to games like world of warcraft. Save your money.

It's a good game, not the style that most prefer though.

Aion has spectacular graphics and the attacking style is very appealing to look at. However the game is very grindy and PvP is based on how well you stock consumables like scrolls, potions, ect.

I had a level 55 elyos sorc on Zikel and personally, I thought that the pvp in Aion was really hard to find. On my server, the Elyos dominated the Asmos so most of them quit and pvp became almost non-existent. As for the grind, its not too bad compared to some other MMOs I have played.

 

I botted for a while lol. Ended with an unbanned 41 Elyos Templar, but yeah a bit too much of a grind for my liking.
