Antoine Fuqua is set to direct a Tupac Shakur biopic titled Tupac, which will go into production in late Spring/early Summer 2011

The film chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip hop artist and actor, as well as his imprisonment and prolific, controversial time at Death Row Records, where he was steeped in the East coast/West coast rap war.

I think this will be a good movie- i'll definitely be comparing/contrasting it with the Notorious movie. Maybe there is something we don't know about pac's/biggie's death?

Probably, seems like it is going to be relatively big.

Yeah, I'm the same, I really enjoyed Notorious... I just hope they dont cast Anthony Mackie (he played Tupac in Notorious) as Tupac in this, he did a horrible job...

I agree, although Jamal woolard did an excellent job to portray Biggie, and did you know that he gained 50 pounds just to play the role of him?

Yeaah Jamal was a boss, he spent 2 months in a 'biggie training camp' to be just like him actually, saw it in the behind the scenes... probably seen the movie at least 3 times lol, enjoyed it a lot. I think I remember seeing in the news there was some new evidence/re-opening case or something like that came up about a month ago??
