Web template. (WIP)

Everything so far's made from scratch (apart from the arrows on the slider which are photoshop default shapes.

"Green" is made in xara, touched up in ps.

Opinions?

Once i finish it i'll probably end up selling on envato or something.

 

Did you also make the medieval/victorian pattern on the top bar?
Or was it a stock.

You're right, i forgot to mention that the pattern is a common seamless pattern.

I like it a lot. Only thing I don't like about it is the font on the 'green' text.

Can you point me in a direction to get xara?

Great design, but I think the "Green" part needs more attention. With the glow it's putting off around the outside and the shadows underneath, it gives me the impression that the word element is 2D, rather than the 3D effect you have going on. The casted shadow of the letters are likewise unrealistic when you're looking at where it falls on the "wall" behide the "green" element... I don't know if you know what I mean... I'll do a picture just to be sure:



I circled the areas in blue where I just feel it's not as realistic as it could be.


This that I do like:

I LOVE the lighting you're using with all the soft-brushings and all that. I love the design on top and I like the entire design in general. Very professional and well put together looking.

Also, out of curiosity, are you going to develop the website or just hand over the psd file?

 

I have no real complaints about this, would happily use it if I ran my own website. Keep it up and I'm looking forward to seeing the body layout.

Many thanks dude, and yeah, the shadows were all brushed/manually done, so you're right about them being somewhat unrealistic.

Never heard of him, and finish the PSD and sell it, most likely, unless it's worth developing.

Amazing work for it to be so simple. Love the softness feel of it. BTW, is there a certain site you sell your work?
