I'm starting a casino, with live video streamed bets.

Hi guys, I'm Quasino, I believe to have invented the dice game on RuneScape, planning to do it before the release of free trade (I was inspired by WoW's /roll) and doing it for the first few days of free trade. I logged in today horrified, and a bit saddened, by all the scammers and people playing it. I couldn't believe it had grown so fast!
So, I'm starting my own casino. Every bet and roll will be live streamed on my website, and bets over 500k are saved and uploaded to YouTube.

Looks like a great idea, imo. However, I'm too skeptical of the maturity level of Runescape's players for this to be successful.

Btw - I verified the link and edited your thread to say it's clean. Hope you don't mind, 90% of links these days are malicious links.

its a great idea , but it will not work... unless you can find some sort of system that MM's the bet i wouldint go NEAR it

 

It's a good idea but would be hard to get people to trust you.

As they see a lot of people betting on YouTube, they'll be like "Hey! That guy won 1m and he paid up."

And they'll bet 2m.

And then they'll win, and I'll pay up.

Until I'm paying up huge amounts of money and people believe me. It'll take some time to get a user base though, but I'm all for it.

 

I'd love to help out man. I do the exact same thing on WoW, and have been fir some time. It's incredibally fun and a nice way to make large amounts of cash.

poker would be easy enough.. just do it through a different website. Private room on say zynga poker.. you hold the pot, everyone buys in... you pay the winner. SIMPLE

 

^^ Lol, that wouldn't be a bad idea, but the problem is getting users to "X" poker site, and having them login/sign-up/or whatever it'd just take too long and
some would probably get impatient and leave.

Then there's the RWT aspect in it that could get you banned for possibly little or no profit.

I dont think Jagex would like you gambling with their pixels now...
Do you have the skill/management level to be able to keep Jagex from finding out and to moderate this idea.
I think this idea is a bit far fetch'd, its brilliant but i don't think you have the fuel to start something like this.

 

Seems well organized, and I like the website design, but it's gonna take a LOT of advertising and initial investment for it to succeed =\

 

My friend was going to start something along these lines before the free trade announcement except with staking and real life cash.

Well you need a casino license to run anything like that with real money, and you can argue that RS gold has RL value...Idk it's kind of in the grey zone. Personally I wouldn't risk it for a some pixels but it's your call.
