Wouldn't you guys all be doomed if your usernames matched your RS usernames?

Well, if we'd done "naughty stuff on here then yes but not always, as they need proof that this user and the RS User and definitely the same person.

 

So what you're thinking is that if i make a new account with the name "Jdelacroix" and say that i bot all day they'll ban him?

 

No, they won't.... They probably don't come to these sites and they need more proof then a picture of your username.

 

Correct, one way they check is the e-mail is the same as your Runescape one, so make sure you use a different one, or hide it on your profile.

 

They might flag your account but nothing other than that

"Happened to look here"? They actually have staff who are hired to do anti-cheating by browsing cheating forums. This is the #1 cheating forum, so I think it's safe to say that they do look here.

 

Wouldn't it be weird if some of the top users here such as Plznate, Tmoe, or Spyike were actually Jagex employees spying on us? No wonder they're so rich, they can generate it (I don't actually believe that they are working for Jagex though).

 

I think somewhere in the tou of sythe it states you cannot be an employee of Jagex, or affiliated with them.

 

I remember long ago when I made this account..

That I hit "I agree" stating I wasn't Jagex. So, they'd have to breach that agreement

 

There's ways around it.

Especially when a company as big and wealthy as Jagex can just get a lawyer to dispute it if they wanted too.

If you making meth in your house, you can just put a sign on your door saying no police allowed and expect for it to work. Doesnt work like that.

 

Jagex will not ban anyone without solid proof.

JAGEX CANNOT BAN PEOLPE FOR POSTING THERE NAME / RS NAME ON ANY SITE INVOLVING IN BLACKMARKET ACTIVITY. THE PICTURE COULD HAVE BEEN GOOGLED AND PHOTOSHOPED ETC....

Off topic: Well, here in Canada, even if the police highly believe you have a meth lab in your house, they still can't go into it. They have to have solid proof that you have one, and a Power bill won't cut it.

But thats another story for another day, younglings.


So anyways back on topic, Jagex does lurk through here often. How do you expect them to ban the cheaters?

 

It does work like that on the internet. I can't remember the exact law...but it is there.

You'd have to be pretty stupid to use your RS name on this site if you were doing bannable activities. Then again, Jagex would have a hard time proving it was actually you.

 

Not too hard if you were posting an email around that was linked to your account which was your username, and they tracked IPs.
