The new thing, "Doubling money"

I did the same thing as the guy before except in smaller incriments. I switched 50k for 100k like 12 times and then did one mill and said i'd do 10mill if this worked again and just left

 

ye lol they will give you the money, but when u trust them and give them ur santas or whatever you'll get scammed

 

saw this the other day, earned a nice standing ovation at the grand exchange.

noob: Doubling money!
Me: scammer, reported.
noob: no its real, i'll show you.
Me: okay. empty your inventory, i'll give you 1k, you turn it to 2k.
noob: okay.
Me: It says you have 27 slots free..that's not an empty inventory. you clearly have 1k and plan on giving it to me to gain my trust.
noob: No, it's the doubling item.
Me: Show me in trade.
noob: Says I cannot trade the item.
Me: okay, here, whatever. double my 1k.
noob: here you go.
Me: says you have 27 slots free. If you had 27 slots before, for the doubling item, then you would have 26 free now that I'd given you 1k. Nice try tho. I'm sure the mods will get a chuckle out of this one.

the kid should've dropped his 1k from the bank RIGHT before taking my 1k; then he should've picked his 1k up immediately and trade back the 2k. Would've been so much more legit-looking.

 

Its all a simple scam that so many people fall for.

 

It's a scam. There is also a "Quitting - rounding up mills" scam going around.

 

Lots of people do fall for it though. And thanks for answering all the q's guys.

 

Yeah, I did this once. When doing this you cant get reported for it can you?

I did this with a kid; stated with 100 gp, he gave me 250 and so on untill 2.3k, he gave me 5k and then he left because I gotover 5k from him xD

 

Most of them are scams but I was bored and gave this level 95 250k and he actually gave me 500k.

 

i gave someone 1gp he made it into 5k=)

Its just a scam.. The first couple of idiots i saw doing it, i reported.. Now you see them everywhere, just cant be botherd to report or something, its just dumb if you fall for it

 

This is exactly why people dont get banned for this and do it on high level accs, nobody bothers to report them, unless they are wannabe mods -___-
