@everyone saying about changing location, i'm talking about the internet in general

 

America is a hub... that's the best thing to call it. Well, we're supposed to be. We welcome all kinds of cultures and religions and beliefs, etc. The idea is to create a mass of culture, and from that, develop our own 'free' culture where people aren't controlled by 'history'.

Go to any country, and they have ridiculous beliefs and presumptions that are actually laws. I'm not going to say America isn't flawless, but we do our best to welcome other people. I would hate to go to a country and be hated because of my family heritage, the way I talk, my beliefs, or anything like that. Here, we get people that do talk shit about others, but those people aren't liked by anyone.

American pride doesn't come from arrogance, it comes from the fact that we as a people have accomplished a lot in our short time, and we continue to make advancements (as well as numerous mistakes). Not to mention, when your country goes rogue and starts impeding on your rights... you better believe 3/4ths of Americans will have your back and be willing to fight for you... whereas most countries will keep quiet and not do shit about it.

So yes, we make mistakes... but we also open our arms and our minds to other people. To hate us is to envy us.

 

I think you are over generalizing. Yes, there are people out there that assume you are from America, but to be quite honest, it's probably a fraction of Americans. The stereotypical lazy ignorant ones I suppose. I'm not sure people from outside the U.S. assume everyone is from the U.S. so that's a ton of people right there that don't automatically think you are from the U.S.

Before you call out 'everyone' for generalizing that everyone on the internet is from the States, why don't you stop generalizing yourself. Just some food for thought.

The "@everyone" was "@everyone saying about changing location" for a reason. People were saying that it's easy to fix, just change location on Sythe, and ignoring the fact that I've said three times now (this included) that I mean on the internet in general, and not just on Sythe

That's not the point though, it's the automatic assumption that irritates me. Anyway.. This wasn't meant to start up a debate, I was just curious as to who else finds this mildly irritating ^_^

Lmao. I hope you're joking. Norse countries (Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Iceland), along with Canada, the UK, Australia and Japan all have a higher quality of live and longer life expectancy than America.

well i have no problem with it seeing as i am american, i can see how it would get annoying.
