    Thanks for the post. Looks like they're targeting people on sythe who have their email visible. Hopefully no one falls for this bullshit.

    You should check for the padlock site on the website or any security information to ensure that all information sent over is encrypted. Also I recommend using Norton Antivirus as they have a Anti-Phish addon.

    I got that EXACT email and I actually clicked the link :/ Nearly maxed pure was hacked but I managed to get it back. Thank god I had xferred my Santa + 100M from that account to my safety the night before + they didn't raise defence :O

    Anyone who follows a link in an email and doesn't check whether it's a real link is a bit stupid to be honest.

    It's not difficult to spoof an email to make it look like it's from Jagex, so you should be very wary when receiving emails like that. Never follow the link and log in, instead find the place it tells you to visit manually through the Runescape.com website to ensure the validity of what you're being told to do.
