Runescape Freebies/Junk section?

If you really wanna give away free runescape junk do it in runescape gen?

 

The free section could be for anything for any game. This is only a suggestion remember that. I just notice people looking for free things a lot.

The free section could also include the free guides and free training services in it too

 

This does not need a section , no point...

 

Who would be the people supplying this section? Almost Nobody just wants to give their stuff away for free.

I think that would either turn into a dead section, or a section full of scammers.

You guys keep saying that it's going to reduce begging, but if everyone is begging and nobody is giving then we won't go anywhere at all.

 

Yeah I have thought about it. This idea was dumb.

I saw on one of your posts, someone mentioned that the "free accounts" would get recovered, and with your answer "so what?" - well just to have you know, for recovering accounts - even free ones, it'd be against the rules because the person that got the free account would/possibly might be doing stuff to the account. (transferring gp, level-ups, quests, etc.) Basically, that'd be scamming because of the fact they're DOING WORK and you're just taking advantage of them by letting them do work and then you recover. Therefore, this section of "junk/freebies" would just be a total add-on to our Report a Scammer section.
Also to the fact of encouraging begging - it'd more than likely do so because you'd see all these threads "free acct plz" or something around those standards. There could be a sticky, but that genuinely won't work because; if they want free stuff, what makes you think they'd read the stickies?

Also, the fact that making a section like this would just link back into auth trading/dumping, which would bring a whole shipload of phishers here. We may be a cheating forum, but in no way will we result in illegal activity such as phishing.
So basically, having this all relate back into phishing, scamming, recoverying, etc. It'd just be a waste of our time - if in fact, the moderators' time.

Therefore, my vote concedes to a no.

^ No support. This could bring potential scammers, and we have enough as it is. Furthermore, this just gives people the extra opportunity to get post count up. If you have useless junk, just have a drop party in game instead of posting on the forums.

 

iam 50/50 on thisi usually play runescape for skilling other than fighting so i just try to get cool outfits for example today i was looking for a good necklace and i tried scarf, fury necklace, and other things and was too lazy to sell back so i gave them away..

woudnt mind giving it to some one here instead of some random guy
