Do they just not hit on you while you are prot praying? how come you dont need any food?

 

Protect from melee = Cancel all damage done by melee. You bring 1 food for emergency and the Antipoison for the spider.

not trolling, but you need at least 34 def to wear barrows gloves(rfd gives def exp for certain quests (e.i. dragon slayer)
