Best memories of Runescape!

Back when i used to have my beloved white partyhat which scammed off me sumtime in 2004 i think, young and foolish

 

This guy tried luring me when i first started playing. I ended up killing him and I remember him pm'ing me and begging for his mith armour back. which cost like 8k since this was before trade limit.

 

My best memory was buying a blue h'ween mask for 500k

Unfortunately, I didn't keep it for long before reselling. If only we had known about the inflation soon to happen...

 

My most memorable memory was when I got a full rune set ( platebody, helm, legs, kite, etc ). Not many people had 200k gp + back then.

How I got the gp?

Please don't laugh but I had two computers back then and I kept doing the stronghold thing to get 10k gp each time. So I made 20 accounts and got 10k per account. Which lead me to 200k gp and I was able to buy full rune.

 

When i first started playing around 2005 some gay dude lured me into the haunted mansion at draynor i did'nt knew how to get out, so then i got worried cause i had full mithril lol then some dude said the only way to get out is to die so then yeah, died at lvl 20 ghosts? I think?

 

Invalid that's pretty funny lol. My favourite memory was 2004 and pking a pure for r2h whilst I was in bronze short and bronze med

 

PKing with a pure clan in 06 and just destroying everyone at hills.

Other than that, feeling the rush of adrenaline chasing after a level 5 looter at GDZ on my level 47 pure but finding out that I can't kill the guy because I don't have enough run energy.

 

In 2005 I managed to get full Rune (chainbody) by mining coal.

I had one guy on my friends list who kept on buying it from me, shame I removed him long ago for some reason.

Also I remeber (also in 2005) I managed to get full Adament (G) and I was messing around at the Zamorak temple thing and some level 100+ guy told me to take the wine, well you know how the rest goes, he kept closing the door and I died (I raged hard) then the guy added me and said if I want my stuff back he has to log onto my account, lol. I raged hard when it happened but I laugh at it now.

 

Before I bought members I pked hill giants with 2 mates. We see a mob of noobs run past attacking one guy, I jumped on the train and fire blasted the guy, didn't even bother to check the pile. After a while I walked back and had a look at it for food and saw a green H' mask. Was worth bout 700k at the time and my bank was probably 50-100k. Was crazy

 

My best memory is probably when I just started playing, reached level 11 and went to the wilderness. I was amazed, someone took my attraction, it was a level 13 with a purple party hat & everyone was attacking him, so I just attacked him like the others, & me got the drop.
I didn't knew what it was so I equipped it and actually had no clue that this was worth any money, I managed to get out of the wildy and went back later.

Just like the guy, I went pking with it, I had around 7 people running after me and attacking me for this hat.
I lost it and a few weeks later I noticed that it was a holiday item and they were worth some nice ammount of money (like 500k or something)
I was disappointed and felt pretty fucked up because I didn't know what it was in the first place, lol.

I think this is one of my best memories in my noob days, the good old runescape, without claws etc.

 

I used to be so crap, haha. I'd play with sounds on, run around training smithing because at the time, I loved smithing and the idea of being independent.

While later when I got into moneymaking i'd mine gold at the horse shoe in karamja and smelt that into gold bars which I sold to the general store making 15k gp per hour, I was so proud heh..

A year or two later I was farming my ass off, dreaming of ever having my own whip, took some time before I reached my goal..

Now I'm bathing in cash, got enough skill capes to fill an entire closet and I merch a 100 whips at a time, not to mention killing abyssal demons when I feel like.

I remember when RS first started you chose whether to be a PKer or Non-PKer, since there was no wilderness. You could switch once i believe.

Or when Rune Smiths were just getting 90+ smithing and 2Hs were selling for 1.2M, Rune kites/Battleaxes 600k each, Rune SQs 300K.

I felt so good that I finally got a holiday, then I sold it for 14M because that was the price back then.

My First Dragon Med in 2005. I spent days Mining Pure essence.

Also F2P clan PKing back in 2006 with my RL friends, the loot was next to nothing at times but the fun never stopped.

Runescape was better when I was only a part-time player. >_<

 

I remember the days where the Hatchet heads would fly off as a random or w.e it was, and finding a rune hatchet head and going wild with my friend saying we're rich we're rich! good times

 

When I resold cooked lobsters in Edgeville and when I did air-running.

Also when I got scammed my full rune off a guy with a name "coolioil ja" or something.

 

Man, I have so many...

I remember being able to cut 1,000 yew logs which sold for around 250k, and having enough gold to buy full rune (g) and a santa hat. Good times:'(

I remember when I got my buddy to play, we were in Fally killing guards and using the gold they dropped to buy kebabs from the bar next door, we thought this was the best leveling strat

The community has morphed into something much different, however. Instead of holding out a helping hand when needed, new people get instantly rejected. The term noob has completely lost it's meaning, and get's used on a regular basis (yes I know noob is used for everything). I remember when 99's were TOUGH to get, and it required a lot of time (took me around 3 years total to get 99 woodcutting on magics). There was never the thought of pawning another persons skill cape off as a "botter";even though most of the people that play Runescape bot now.

 

I remembering merching the shit out of runes, logging in and out for 2 hours to make 600k.
I remember when Staking was actually fun.
Going to greens and giving people mystic tops so I could tb them and drop their whip.

I remember right after I got one with that method, I was rushed by I Mahatma I and my ring of life saved me with 1 hp. My old main is in one of his vids
