I know, Photoshop is very bad with transparant gifs.
Unfortunately I cannot use different programs to make it an animated PNG because only firefox supports APNG and then only Firefox users can see the animations.

    Thanks for the comment :)

I don't really see how you can call yourself professional - a majority of your work seems to use downloaded brushes, and even if you made them yourself, that doesn't qualify as professional.

    So this isn't spam, here's a little critique on your work;
    - the green gradiented text isn't easily read on the grey background, make it darker.
    - Tilting things changes them completely - the composition could look odd, and it just seems awkward on most of your pieces, people aren't going to want to tilt their heads.
    - Century Gothic isn't a very nice font, i'd suggest looking for a nicer sans font.

The first part of your comment is really offensive to me, I don't use downloaded brushes for anything but smudging.
And a minority of my work do have brushes, but that are only Splatter brushes.
If you see brushes please tell me on what works you've seen them.

Thanks for the rest of the CC though and about the century gothic you are right I might have to change that :)

Aren't those album/posters all with brushes? ie this one http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1016445

Anyway, I like the idea but as Tr1bal said, there are some problems. One other thing that puts me off is how quickly it transitions into the next slide, have no time to actually look at the work.

It wasn't the brushing, i was asking on which basis do you consider yourself a professional?

And the brushing i meant on both LP's.

Tr1bal is correct, to be "professional" you must have studied graphic design at university and you must be paid for your work. Not to mention the skill level it requires, which no one on these forums has.

Had to comment on this, you do not have to go to university, what gave you this notion? When you apply for a job in anything with design the majority of times they will want to see a portfolio of your work, not a grade.

"A professional is a member of a vocation founded upon specialised educational training.

The word professional traditionally means a person who has obtained a degree in a professional field."

    Thanks wikipedia

If you don't have a degree, you are simply a freelance artist who works commercially. I personally would never consider you professional if you don't have an educational basis for your design skills, because you've only learnt from practice, not from a course that makes you study and learn specific skills from globally accepted design techniques.

If you produce results regardless of a degree should it matter? and I was not implying that they did not study, there are thousands of sources out there to learn from, why would a degree put them above the rest?

    iPad shop layout!

    Thanks for all the comments,

I have actually work at a graphic studio as a holiday job, make banner for birthdays etc.

The album cover I made only has Splatter brushes, nothing else is brushed.
The Poster was a quick project for school and also only has splatter brushes.

And seriously, who cares about if someone puts professional in his signature/pictures.
It's for the customers to decide it it looks professional or not and in most cases they do.

I do agree that "professionals" have followed a study, but from the guys following a class that I know their art really sucks.

    Thanks,

It just becomes annoying seeing people branding their own work with "professional", when it clearly isn't.

I understand, I mean.. your much better than me and I feel the same looking at some people works here and they also call it Professional and actually get customers.

Anyway, I might change "Professional graphics" To "Timeless Art" due to these arguments :)

I'm not better, nor am i more professional, I've only had a few large commissions, so even in the real market of design, I am a mere amateur.

I just take offence when everyone starts calling themselves professionals, when, as has already been said, there are no current members who are professional (with the exception of TDD/Jansen, if they're still around, maybe a few others).

Id have 2 agree with Tribal, work is way to simple without the clean feel most designers go for, as for the actual image its a gif? Make a flash verison where u can click.

    Deffo not proffesional
