How to avaoid getting slapped with "unauthorized payments" (Paypal)

Hey, recently I have selling gold, and have been doing very well. Or so I thought. I traded 5bill gp within 5 days and I was very satisifed with that until I got hit with the "unauthorized payment" disputes.. I have two people saying they were not the senders (the one guy started the dispute within 5 minutes after sending... yeah ok.).

Anyways, I was wondering what methods people use to prevent this. I know you can use C&C to prevent this but I thought using a note saying they already received their goods etc was good enough (I also thought this was a fast way to get your account locked). Anyways they are being reviewed by paypal right now, but as you can imagine it is very frustrating have your money tied up in paypal issues. So I was just wondering if anyone had some opinions to offer.... other than "Don't use paypal"

Have them type a message when sending like "I am paying for a virtual item which I have already received. I have no intentions in charging back."

Yeah I have them type that, it does nothing to prevent them from filing an unauthorized claim though.

Make PayPal check their IPs, to see where they last logged in from. Then the buyer cannot 'cheat' you like that. IDK if it works.

Yeah no they can't do that, already called and they said the only people who can check it out is in a different department that they cant even transfer me over to >_<

 

What did they say to you when you called? Do we have a fighting chance or is our money as good as lost?

 

Yeah well apparently they can tell if you used the same computer as well as ip address to send the payment. So if it is the same I will get my $780 back haha.

 

Always make sure you have them write something containing " I will not charge back "
