    Arena's Guide to Aviansies (300-500k/hour+)

Welcome to Arena's (AKA Partyshanked) guide to Aviansie killing!

    --------------------------------

    Table of contents:

    Introduction

    i. What are Aviansies and why should I kill them?
ii. How do I get there?
    iii. What are the risks?
    iv. What are the rewards?

    Strategy
    i. What are the requirements?
ii. What setup should I use?
iii. What Aviansies to fight and where?
    iv. Fighting Strategy.

    --------------------------------------

    Introduction:

    i. What are Aviansies and why should I kill them?

Aviansies are bird-like, range-based followers of Armadyl, located in the south-western section or Armadyl's Eyrie in God Wars Dungeon.

ii. How do I get there?

To get there, the following pre-requisites must be met:

60+ Strength or Agility, this is just to get past the boulder.
Must have completed up to the part where you kill "Dad" in Troll Stronghold.

There are three possible routes to get there:

The first is the most convenient, and is highlighted in red on the map below, and requires the completion of Eadgar's Ruse. Teleport to Trollheim, and run down or cut down via the agility shortcuts to the valley below, and head north-east until you join onto the green path.

The second green route is less convenient than the first, but is the route you will have to take unless you have completed Eadgar's Ruse. Use a games necklace and teleport to the Burthorpe Games room. From here head north-west along the mountain path, through the sherpa's house and continue north until you reach a rock climb. From here follow the path north, and then east, past 2 more rock climbs and through the arena in which you fought "Dad". Head north to a cave, and through to the other side. Run north a bit and then PROTECT FROM RANGE as you run past the thrower trolls. Head north and pass the boulder with either Strength or Agility. Head north through the snow drifts (which will drain your stats and run energy, so do not waste time), and PROTECT FROM MELEE past the wolves, and head down the hole into God Wars Dungeon. If you have not entered here before, you must have brought a rope to use on the entrance, and you should talk to the injured guy just above the entrance to GWD.

The third orange route I personally have never tried; Using the Wilderness agility shortcut to arrive north of GWD.

    iii. What are the risks?

To be honest, there really are no risks if you are sensible. This is a multi-combat area, so as long as you follow the gear setup I list later in the guide, you should be perfectly fine. Couple this with a ring of life and your chance of death reduces to zero.

    ---------

    iv.What are the rewards?

This is where Aviansies get interesting! The full loot list can be found here, however for the purposes of this guide we shall only be looting the following:

    Adamant Bars x 4 (noted)
    *Rune Dagger (p+)
    *Runite Limbs
    Nature Runes
    Blood Runes
    Water Runes
    Air Runes
    Feathers
    Bones (For bones to peaches)
And all rare drops found in the link above.
(No herbs unless you are close to leaving)

*These are items we shall be alching, which you will notice will quickly develop into a rather large cash pile.

Of course this is just a guideline, this can be edited to suit your individual needs.

You should always be earning in excess of 250k+/hour here. This figure varies depending on which part of GWD you kill in, and of course your stats and gear.

    ---------------------------------------

    Strategy

    i. Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

Troll Stronghold completed (up until the part where you defeat "Dad")
60+ Strength or Agility for getting there
    65+ Ranged
    60+ Defence
    55+ Magic (High Alching)
    43+ Prayer (Protect Prayers)

    Recommended stats:

    75+ Ranged
    70+ Defence
    55+ Magic (High Alching)
    43+ Prayer (Protect Prayers)
A high agility level for better run energy.

    ------------

ii. What setup should I use?

For the purposes of this guide and for maximum profit, we shall be using the tanking method.

    Inventory

    100 Nature Runes
    500 Fire Runes
    100+ Bones to Peaches Tabs
    *1 Law Rune
    *1 Air Rune
    *1 Blood Rune
    *1 Water Rune
    *1 Coin
    *1 Adamant Bar (Noted)
    *1 Feather
    Rest Peaches

    *These are placeholders

If you wish to stay for a longer period of time, increase the number of Bones to Peaches tabs, and fire runes that you bring. I went for maximum killcount in God Wars (4000 aviansies slain) and took roughly 300 Bones to Peaches and 5k Fire Runes. This is just a guideline, I went for this goal at 80 Ranged/75 Defence.

    -----------

    Gear

PRE-NOTE: You MUST at ALL TIMES be wearing an item of the gods Armadyl, Saradomin, and Zamorak, else followers of these Gods will become aggressive and you will get swarmed and killed. So I repeat you must be wearing 1 item of each god.

Seeing as we will be tanking, I recommend this setup for a mid-length stay (400-1000 kills)

    Helm: Torag's Helm (High defence)
Neck: Armadyl's Pendant (from Temple of Ikov)
    Back: Ava's Accumulator > Godcape
Ammo: Broad-Tipped Bolts (About 3k with Ava's Device)
Chest: Saradomin or Zamorak d'hide chest.
Legs: Saradomin or Zamorak d'hide chaps
Boots: Snakeskin boots (If using Trollheim tele) > Climbing Boots
Ring: Ring of life (NOT Ring of Wealth, this affects Addy Bar drop rate)
    Gloves: Sara/Zammy/Black d'hide vambraces.
    Weapon: Rune Crossbow
Shield: Granite Shield > God Book

Here is a screenie of me with my 1337 kills ;>

For longer stays, such as the 4k killcount I went for, I recommend this setup:

Helm: Armadyl Helm (Torag's helm would degrade)
    Neck: Fury > Glory
    Back: Ava's Accumulator > Godcape
Ammo: Broad-Tipped Bolts (About 8k with Ava's Device)
Chest: Sara/Zammy d'hide chest or Armadyl chest.
Legs: Saradomin or Zamorak d'hide chaps.
Boots: Ranger Boots > Snakeskin boots > Climbing Boots
Ring: Ring of life (NOT Ring of Wealth, this affects Addy Bar drop rate)
    Gloves: Sara/Zammy/Black d'hide vambraces.
    Weapon: Rune Crossbow
Shield: Granite Shield > God Book

    ------------

iii. What Aviansies to fight and where?

Aviansies exist a different levels within the dungeon, them being 69, 71, 73, 79, 83, 84, 89, 92, 94, 97, 131, 137, 148. Obviously the levels you feel like killing are up to you, however the drop rate of all possible drops is the same at all levels. Why you should kill different levels depends on how you wish to kill.

Here is a picture of where to train, each zone explained below.

Zone 1 is the most popular, and the easiest to train in. Here there is a mixture of Saradomin and Zamorak followers which will attack Aviansies, greatly helping you. A good tactic here is to hit an aviansie that is being attacked once, and let the monster kill it. Hitting it once allows you to loot everything it dropped, even if you only hit it for 1 HP.

If you wish to go into Armadyl's Eyrie, Zones 2, 3, and 4, you will need to bring a Mithril Grapple with you to cross the Grapple Swing.
Here, there are no mosters of any other Gods, and many aviansies. However, they are of a slightly higher level, and with no other followers to help you kill them, you will be going through many more Bones to Peaches and will need a higher defence level. There a higher levels still in zones 3 and 4, however the advantage is there is rarely anyone here.

    --------------

    Fighting Strategy

This is pretty basic. All you need to remember is that you can only range/mage the Aviansies, ranged preferred, and to keep picking up bones to mage into peaches for food. If you can keep this is, you can stay here til' you run out of tabs or ammo!
Follow the strategy listed under the zones section to increase gp/hour.

    ---------------------------

Thanks to Burnley for this small section:

Understandably many people will want to bot at Aviansies! For these people Burnley recommends the following setup:

    Armadyl Helm
    Fury/Glory
    Saradomin d'hide body
    Zamorak Vambraces
    Bandos Tassets
    Ava's Device
    Climbing Boots
    Rune Crossbow
    Ring of Life
    150k Mithril Bolts

A great deal more fire runes
    2-3k Bones to Peaches tab

Otherwise, the setup is the same. Obviously this requires a great deal more money to start with.

Again, thanks to Burnley for this section.

    -------------------------

FINALLY, the end of the guide! Sadly I didn't get a screenie of me reaching my 4k kill count (I did but I bloody copied something else before saving it.....), however I do have a screenie of the loot I received! Ignore the Fire Runes, I brought them with me.

Here is about 11.5mil of loot! For this reason, I'd like to end on this note:

    ...

    AVIANSIES FTW.
