Shoguns a BJJ black Belt and is extremely aggressive on the ground. Jones has not fought anyone thats a BJJ black belt yet. He inst one himself.

I think you should watch Shogun's Vids again, Shogun's ground game is superb. Jones can stifle him, but Shoguns unpredictable.

 

Shogun does have a good ground game. I wasnt sayin gthat at all. But jones has them good elbows and can mix it up.
Shogun doesnt go for submission aggressivly though, im wondering if he will when the fight.

 

Shogun can mirror Jones easily. but as i said again Jone's reach might be the key.

Jone's arms being as long as they are could get trap'd more easily. I dont see Shogun pulling off a submission tho, Jones will have a tough time pulling a submission on Shogun as well.

Shogun is unpredictable, ruthless and crazy. No1 but him ran at Machida like he did.

In the end i dont see a favorite.

I realize how dangerous Shogun is. I just think Jones will win. Styles make fights. I see him taking him down and finishing him there. Jones 85 inch reach will help a lot in standup too.

 

That's exactly how i feel. I also think Jones has the edge.

But you never know if Jones point scores enough, Shogun would be a pissed Shogun and a pissed off Shogun..........................................i dont know how to explain D:.
If Jones wants to win, he'll have to do it fast, cause if he doenst, 1 punch from Shogun could end the fight. While Shogun's chin has been tested and hes been eating shots almost every fight. I also think Shoguns much faster.

Take Shogun down, GnP him. Thats what Jones has to win, cause Jones will get raped standing up. Shogun is extremely good in distance.

 

Just because jones trains at jacksons doesnt mean he will fight for points.
This fight isntr going to a decision. I can guarrantee that. I dont even think Jones will get raped standing up. He will have a 10 inch reach advantage. He can keep distance. He will eat leg kicks, bt jones will take those into take downs.

 

Shoguns great at distance, and it depends on how fast Shogun throws those leg kicks. Standing up is Shoguns world.

 

True, but leg kicks are known to be able to take down. No matter how fast he throws them. He just has to be smart about when he throws them.

Thats true, have you seen the Lyoto fight? Shoguns landing body shots,leg kicks everywhere and Machida could not react to them. He kicks unpredictably, you'd think is he going for the torso? or is he going for the legs?.

 

I have seen both of them. Lyoto is not a wrestler though. And lyoto took him down easily in the second one.
Jones is a good wrestler, and can aim for them.

 

Machidas not a wrestler but hes got solid TDD and wrestling. Not on par with Jones but still good.

Well we both agree Jones will win, but it could be anyones fight.

 

I just give him a slight edge. Also Thiago Silva might be out against Rampage,and Rashad might step in against him.

We just saw Rashad vs Rampage too recently .....I say Rashad against Griffin or Couture VS Machida winner for next title shot.

 

They apparently got into an altercation at a club. I think Griffin beats Evans.
Griffin was beating Rashad before he slipped in rd 3. From there Rashad beat him.

Griffin was point scoring, and Rashad was not using his wrestling in their fight. Its a different Rashad now after Rashad got KTFO.

 

Forrest can beat Rashad, simple as that though. FOrrest actually stunned Rashad, if he had more power...
I was suprised he hurt Rich when they just fought. Forrest is my favorite fighter so I am a little biased, but whatever.
Rashad said if Jones wins, he'll move to middleweight or heavyweight divisions.

 

Because rashad doesnt want to fight his teammate. I'd say middleweight is where he should go.

 

He wont fight Marquardt at MW either.
