One of the best ways to stop upgrade scams

I suggest making the upgrade sales forum only for people who have been around sythe 6 months+, 20+ vouches, and watched closely (Ex: Make sure vouches aren't from a bunch of low post acts acts that could of been made just to vouch, make sure they are pretty active, make sure they use real e-mails), and possibly making it so only donaters can sale upgrades, as no would would in their right mind donate $5+ to scam.

I know at the moment 90% of the upgrade posts are scams. I have tried a few sellers about 8 of them and they all ended up to be a scam.

    Other ideas, opinions? Post.

I agree on some of the things you have said. But right now, i havnt been on sythe for long, and have already made a few sales and sales else where ( no on sythe, friends of sythe members ) , and i dont scam. So what im saying is, not everyone is here to scam others.

There is legit & mature people, but it's very slim to find some.

That's ridiculous. Why bar legit buyers who only come in for PINs? Most of them don't even have 20+ vouches.

this would be a good idea, but I'm pretty sure this has already been suggested before.
it could also turn out to be just like powerbot, they get verified then scam big deals

edit: misread, i thought you were suggesting a subsection for known sellers

Because the nonlegit people outweigh the legit ones. There is going to have to be a way to weed them out.

Also a legit pin seller would have no problem really getting 20 vouches, maybe limit it to 10, but it seems like 5-10 vouches are the biggest scams some times.

This falls under the category of "Making staff decide who is trusted", which has been denied time and time and time and time and time again. It's not their job, or even their right, to tell us who is trusted.

As for the "No one in their right mind would scam if he donated": You're wrong. This will just mean he pays $5 to make potentially a couple hundred million GP before he is scammed.

Upgrades sale for 100m+ gp? Thats new..

I would say ip ban, but half of the staff are most likely up to it, and considering proxies are probably allowed here would be useless.

People get in trust and then scam for a big piece.Of course that is so true. I suggest to buy from only trusted member who have sold atleast few pins and got bunch of a vouches.

Sythe has a sexy selection of free MM's that will cure this problem :p

It may be hard because alot of the sellers are scammers but use Decent MM and you can't go wrong.

There will always be a scammer because people aren't mature over a game. But just some ideas to lessen. Perhaps you could also beg isp's to shut off everyones internet that has anyone under 15, but that wouldn't work in a trillion years..

Any sort of arbitrary requirements to prevent users free access to the marker (like post count limits, vouch limits, registration date limits, etc) have been suggested a million times, and turned down as often.
