WHY IS JAGEX SO CONCERNED ABOUT MONEY??!?!!?!?! Lets say they have a million paying members (I bet they have more...) thats $5,950,000+ a month... thats $71,400,000 a year! this is getting rediculous! I mean their profits are no where near WoW's profit... 13 million subscriptions, $15 a month... do the math.
195,000,000 per month. that's $2,340,000,000 a year! they need to build a better (bigger+more gear) and stop bitching about money!

They have around 1,000,000+ subscribers so: 7.95(Monthly Recurring)X1,000,000= $7,950,000


BUT take into account that some people pay by some way other than credit card. This is always more expensive, for example: Memebership by phone is around $15 a month. So this actual number is probobly closer to $8,250,000.
It is safe to assume that about 1/15th of all RuneScapers all have a FunOrb account. So: 1,000,000/15=66,666 66,666*3.95=$263,333.

OT: If Jagex doesn't tell you what they did to the account before you pay to get it back, that's BULLSHIT!

 

I don't see why this is such a big deal. I mean if you have spent just as many hours botting as actually playing a high level character and it gets banned, I would attempt to buy it back (price depending of course)

 

Well, obviously theyre trying to make money -_-... that would be the whole purpose of making the game in the first place. Having to buy accounts back though, no. Ban them for a certain amount of time. Let them come back, reset their stats to before its noticed that they were botting. that's all they have to do.

Where do you obtain such an assumption from seeing as Runescape has been ran and succesfully highly profitable for them for 10-years now and the fact that stellar-dawn is an entirely different Genre of game.

 

Well, it looks like jagex finally realized people are hooked on their game and will cough up lots of money to play. Surprised it took them this long, honestly.

 

To be fair, i don't think that members should even be able to get banned. We pay to play the game!

So you feel by violating an agreement you accepted and breaking the terms of service you previously agreed to isn't reason for a business to terminate your account?

Would you mind explaining to me where you get your logic from?

 

This may not be as bad as everyone is cramming it down to be. If you can pay 100 dollars to get an account that has a couple hundred mil unbanned, you could make your money back and profit by selling the mills.
