I Got Scammed

Guy offered me $70 for my Steam account and right before he was about to pay me, he logged off and stole the account. I submitted a ticket to Steam. You can see me complaining on is vouch thread http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=7108867#post7108867

Is there anything else I can do?

Take pictures of the whole msn convo and a link to his profile and post in a scammer report. With steam accounts, are you able to recover them back? Or what?

 

Make sure you take screenshots of any MSN conversations when doing trades, you never know when you might need them!

 

Sad..scammers these days.

Theres always going to be scammers on sythe

 

From what i've heard, steam accounts are extremely easy to recover- good luck, I guess, and try the "report a scammer" section. You'll need msn logs + pms.

Also, don't spam his vouch thread for post count.. could result in an infraction whether he's a scammer or not.

 

Yeah scammers have been really terrible lately.

Good luck. I've been scammed $60 on sythe. Not worth going first for anyone.

 

Post in the correct forum, and with adequate proof.

Also, steam accounts are easy to recover provided you still have the original CD-case with the paper with the CD-key still on it.
