MSN frustrates me.

MSN is a piece of crap.. (the messenger). It seems like I have a lot of trouble with adding people/people adding me. A lot of the time when I go to add a contact it will say something like "Sorry this contact doesn't have credentials" or something along the lines of that..

To be honest i'm looking for a new way to message people, something similar to MSN messenger but a lot better. It would help to be able to add a large amount of contacts since I probably get 20-30 requests a day.

Btw, I have a mac, so the new messenger would have to be mac compatible. Please help me :embar:

 

MSN is fine, you just have no idea how to use it. Update it to the latest version for one, and for two you are adding people who have not signed up for msn. You can't just add "my mom" and expect it to recognize what you are talking about and match it up to the proper email address associated with your mother.

 

I use Adium for OS X and Pidgin for Windows. They're pretty much exactly the same and use the same codebase, they're just designed for different platforms. They're lightweight, free, and supports pretty much every chat protocol in existence.
