anyone notice the high amount of sythe bans?

ive noticed for sure. it seems that even some of the most trusted members are scamming. just a week ago spacedllama scammed me for my entire bank,not to mention almost everyone who post in gold buying threads is banned within a week. free trade has made our community just as bad as 2006. fml.

 

How do you know what the community was like in 06 if you joined a couple days ago?
Also the scammers are oftern very blatant, refussing to use omm, not verifing items in game the list goes on.
Although if you look past the scammers sythe is booming with new legit buyers looking to take advantage of the trade limit.

 

i used to have an acc,forgot my pw, didnt post too much anyway. and im simply saying that alot of the more trusted members are now being banned.

 

Well with the trust they earn they can avoid using a mm. Which i do not suggest with high value trades, as everyone knows anyone has the potential to scam. With free trade its very easy to scam someones bank now. Which is why when free trade came out i put a bank pin and delay on it for 7 days. So theres no way they can get into my bank unless i have a keylogger. Which i scan daily and have two different virus protections, plus internet security as well. Back to the scammers though what do they care if they got banned. Most will prolly just make a new account and do it over again. Which is why sythe now needs to ip ban.

 

i know of 10-15 people who just ban avade,ip bans would do much as anyone who uses this site knows how to change there ip.

 

All it takes is one slipup. Maybe they wanted to check their thread from school or something - Boom, banned.

And yea, the influx of scammers is due to the fact that Free Trade has made it much easier to scam large amounts of money/gp relatively quickly and safely.
Also, GP payments cannot be disputed as with Paypal payments.

 

I think they deserve it, it's impossible for me to get any buisness. In 2009 I could do Pest Control or Skill Training easily. People look at my post count and assume I've only just joined. I've been here almost 3 years lol >.<

before trade limit came sythe was like this, but a bit more less since the free trade came out again and people newcomers discovered scamming...

OT. The reason everyone is getting scammed, is because almost everyone here is an immature fuck who is jealous because they are too lazy to make money. Yes, I've been scammed twice by the fuckers already. Watch who you trade with, set a bank pin.

as far as im concerned most scammers are obvious,even with trusted people I dont do big trades no mm

free trade brings out the worst in us lmao... trying to buy rsgp atm but i take pics every step of the way to make sure i dont get scammed

well free trade means rsgp is used as currency therefore people are more tempted to scam.

 

It's kind of ridiculous what people will try to make like $4.. kinda sad really
