    I received an email from Jagex saying my account had been hacked, I was sent to fill out a form which differs from the recovery form.

    You dont even have a log out button so how does Jagex recognize you?
    They also forgot a period at the end of instructions.

    but Jagex could make those mistakes as well.

    What was the website url?

    It should ONLY be jagex.com, or runescape.com.

    Never should it be runescape-recover.com or anything like that.

    Jagex don't email you on regards to being hacked asking for personal details. If they had started there would have been an annoucement on the main page. Change your pass it was a phishing attempt rofl

    think if this is a new way? and if this guy have right. they got ur email, when the ip changes and password changes on a another ip jagex maybe made a system to send out a recover mail to bring back your account. just saying.
