RuneScape section - 100 posts limit!

As a free trade and the wilderness came back, many f-king phishers came to Sythe, and started posting their links in the RuneScape section.

A suggestion is, to let the people only with atleast 100 posts to post in this section.

If a phisher will want to reach this limit, he will need to spend much time to collect the posts, and as many phishers are noobs - they will probably spam and will get temporarily banned once or a few times until they will collect so many posts or they will probably just get pissed off and will stop doing so.

 

Yes but then people who are new and legit will have to go to alot of trouble just to sell an account.

 

I totally support, that would cut out some scammers too if they actually need to use the forums before entering marketplace.

 

Arrow, RuneScape section, not RuneScape market section.

 

Yeah not a bad idea, however as the guy said above, new legit members will have to spend absolutely ages on forums untill they can sell any money or an account.

 

You can not sell anything in a RuneScape section!

The site is based off of Runescape. Not allowing people to post in one of the main sections is stupid.

A suggestion to make a 100 posts limit to post links is good too, but I think that this idea is better, because if a member is active, he will get 100 posts quickly (we can change it to 50 if needed), and not allowing to post links in some cases would not be good.

 

Great idea though if that is the case we are going to get alot of people spamming threads so they can go into the market.

 

Agree. Are SuF and I the only ones who thinks this is absurd?

Here's a better suggestion: Let's just make it so that links cannot be posted with a tag in the RS section?

 

How about make people use common sense when clicking on links. Unless you know where it goes and why your going there I wouldn't click it?

 

Belle, it is not a market section.
Cola, the links sometimes needs to be posted, who cares what the new members want to post into the RuneScape section, if they do not have 100+ most and if it is very important - they can contact an Admin/Mod.
Tckr, it is not only about phishing, but they spam a section too.

 

Its not going to happen. Limiting our members because others cannot decipher malicious links is only going to hurt the site more then it would help.

Not only that they'll just take their links to the market etc etc
