What exactly is OMM and how does it work?
and can you guys please tell me how to safely make a purchase? i am looking to buy around 100m in runescape or just items like ags or claws. any tips so i don't get scammed?

Hey! It's wise that you try to inform a bit before you start trading, since there are a lot of people with malicious intents around here, so stay attentive! An OMM (Official MiddleMan) is someone who is extremely trusted and experienced with Blackmarket trades. His task is to make sure that a trade can be established without any risk. I'll briefly explain how a trade would go: You find someone who is selling 100M. You guys agree a price, and you ask him if he is willing to use an Official Middleman. If he refuses, don't trade him, someone who isn't OK with using an official middleman shouldn't be trusted. If he agrees with using an OMM, discuss who will pay the fee. (I suggest 50-50) The OMM will require that the fee is paid upfront. (so before the trade starts) When he received the fee, the gold seller will trade his gold to the OMM's RuneScape account. When the OMM has the gold, he will ask you to send the money to the seller. When the seller received the funds, the OMM will trade the gold to you.

If you know what an escrow is in real life, that's exactly what a OMM (short for official middle man) does.

He/she takes both ends of the bargain and gives it simultaneously to the other so there's little to no chance of scamming from either side. They also need to know how to middleman different kinds of trades because there are ways people can scam that they need to know how to prevent.
