Chargeback Database

I was speaking with Sythe about an idea to keep a database here on Sythe for users which are found using Paypal fraudulently. Anyone who is found guilty of committing a chargeback (whether Unauthorized or Non-Receipt [Although emphasis on Unauthorized]).

This would be a valuable tool for anyone selling something on our site to check up on their buyer. Sure, it obviously won't work 100% of the time, but it will at least help, and should deter repeat offenders.

Anyone found guilty of chargeback fraud on Report a Scammer will have their Paypal Email / Information uploaded to the database, as well as any MSN's / Sythe names / emails attached to it.

Let me know what you guys think. I know a lot of newer members of this forum have a real tough time with chargebacks.

 

Besides donations I am completely abandoning paypal due to their completely pathetic security policies. I'd be willin to give this a try.

I think it's possible to change the E-mail associated with the Paypal? Correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I like this idea. The main reason I don't trade more on here is because 99% of people use paypal, and I intend to keep my none-scammed run going.
I also had an idea of having to verify your paypal with Sythe before being allowed to trade using it. Not sure how it'd work, but it could be involved with your idea somehow

Yes, Paypal emails can be changed. However, we will also record the name on the Paypal account / Billing information.

 

I'd be willing to help code this, honestly.

It is but you just stick with verified members I'm assuming so you know its atleast them.

I like the Idea paypal is fucking shit and I didn't realise it till 2 days ago.

I really like the idea. It would be somewhat similar to the current XXX+ RS Accounts Not To Buy sticky but much more useful.

 

I support this as well. I've ran into charge back issues before, and as a fellow gold seller, I can relate to this issue. I know I'm not a big seller so I can only imagine how bad it is for some of you guys. The database would be really nice to have if anyone is willing to set up and maintain it.
