    [QUESTION] Paypal chargebacks/Negative Balance

    Hey :)

So I recently sold approximately 15b gold for approximately $15k (Yay! ). I'm *just* about done selling, but I'm torn between two options.

Should I leave about $1k in my Paypal to cover any chargebacks that may (inevitably) happen? Or should I just completely drain my Paypal and take a negative balance if/when they occur.

[NOTE: In case you don't know, it doesn't matter whether or not you legitimately sold virtual items to people. If the person claims their credit card was stolen or actually paid with a stolen Paypal account, it's going to get reversed on you. It sucks, but that's life.]

Anywho, Paypal has all my info (Social security, bank, address, phone number, etc.) so I'm thinking if they really wanted the negative balance back they'd be able to find me and get it. But at the same time, it really bothers me to just let $1k sit in my account and get reclaimed by people for items that I legitimately sold.

So if anybody has any experiences with something like this, let me know!

If I were you, I'd probably leave a bit of cash in it - going negative won't be good since they have your personal information. Though next time, make sure to accept any cash from people with CC funded paypals.

Ty to whichever mod moved this to the right place :)

    Sorry about that.

I'm assuming you mean DON'T accept cash from people with CC funded paypals? 3/5 of my current chargeback disputes are from Bank Funded paypals (2 Non-US, 1 US). As far as I know, there isn't really any type of paypal that is 100% able to keep you from getting chargedback against.

    [QUESTION] Paypal chargebacks/Negative Balance

I'm sure it's not a big deal if your account goes negative and you pay it back right away by just transferring money back into paypal? I'd be scared if a chargeback did occur with money still in the account because paypal is sometimes stupid and freezes/limits accounts (then you can't even use the money you kept in there.)

    [QUESTION] Paypal chargebacks/Negative Balance

My PP wont let me withdraw now. Ive tried 3 times and it gets reversed everytime.

I think its because i need to provide more information to lift my recieving limit.

I suggest you leave it there for 3 months and take (the remaining) out afterwards. I believe you can't file a complaint 3 months+ after a transaction. :)

It's just 60 days, you can also only take out as you go buying.
