Suggesting a rule be added to The Gold selling section.

With free trade back, alot more people will be selling RS gold. i am suggesting the following rule be added to the gold selling thread:

A screen shot be posted with the following information:
    - The sellers, sythe name in the rs chat box.
    - the amount of gold be shown in the inventory/price checker.
    - the gold pile examination shown in rs chat box.(1,800,000 x coins)

EXAMPLE BELOW: This pic would be fine if i was selling 27.4m.

if the screen shot is taken this way, it will help prevent scammers using other peoples pictures. which will help reduce people being scammed.

Hopefully the Sythe.org community will agree with me.

Thank you for reading my suggestion,

No support, they can easily be faked and if someone is planning on scamming a rule requiring a picture isn't going to stop them.

Didn't you used to have to have proof of the gold? Anyways, as long as people know not to trust someone because of a picture I don't see anything wrong with this.

Regardless of the cons, I support.

This shows the seriousness of the seller!

    I don't support.

1 - Sellers would have to constantly update pics.
    2 - It's easily faked.
3 - It's overly cautious. REquiring your name in the chatbox isn't even a rule in account sales.
4 - It's more or less unnecessary. Your activity and vouches will say 10000x more than a silly picture proving you have the GP.
    5 - You can't screenshot more than 2.1b.

No support..Kero put it best. If you're scared to make the trade, there's no reason a legitimate seller wouldn't show you the gold in game prior to you sending the money. -that, or use a MM/OMM.

Although this may seem helpful, people can easily reuse pictures. Why not just leave it how it is; they can post pictures if they want, but it isn't required. For gold sellers this would be a pain because they'd constantly have to upload pictures and edit their thread. People should follow their normal trading routines with preventative scamming measures. Ask for a PM, use a trusted MM or OMM if wanted, verify gold in game, and have a good talk with the buyer/seller. These steps will do much more in terms of buyer/seller safety than placing a rule like this which is nothing more than a false sense of security for many people. I definitely don't support this.

Meet in RuneScape? That'll solve everything. No need to prove it in the thread, as if they sell GP, they need to update the picture again.

    No support from me, sorry.
