The Lending Lure is PATCHED

Jagex has patched the Lending Lure. It would be unwise to waste time on doing this. It was done by borrowing an item until logout and then using the item on the other players before they died. Which led to you getting their item. I managed to get 60M before it got removed

what do you mean by this ?
so you could borrow items and then get a friend to kill you and you would drop the item you borrowed ?

 

If you lend an item until logout, the person borrowing the item can just give it back at any time by using the item on you.

What people would do is ask someone with a rare to help them make a pking video where it would look like they were pking that rare, by lending them the item until logout and then boxing them to death while they were wearing it.

Since the item was lent away, it was safe, so they skulled on the person wearing their rare while they had nothing in their inventory. The person wearing the rare would then pull out a weapon and kill the victim, then use the borrowed rare on them right before they died so they would get it back. Since they were skulled and probably didn't have protect item on since they had nothing, they would drop the real item when they died.

My friend got scammed for his green phat this way.

Damn someone tried to do this to me, gave me 200k till logout and told me to let him kill me and I was like no thanks omg good thing too, i woulda lost claws

wow. still your pretty stupid if you got lured this way.

 

Most people didn't know about this until after the patch.. when there was a trade limit you would always get your items back so that's why people would fall for this.
