Need help with keyloggers and trojans!!

Ok I clicked on a link on this website and all of a sudden a message popped up about protecting my computer and it had a list of things such as: keyloggers, Trojans, viruses etc. Then a green bar popped up and the bars started going across, like a download bar. And then I exited out because I didn't know what was happening. The thing is is that I don't have antivirus programs on my computer so I don't know what it was that popped up. Now I can't tell if there is anything on my computer and I need help seeing of there is something wrong with it! Please help!

Sorry if this is in the wrong topic.

Hey, first of all I suggest that you run a full system scan. SpyBot Search & Destroy is a safe program that will detect and remove any malware from your System. You can download SpyBot Search & Destroy here: SpyBot Search & Destroy

When you've done that, you should really install a decent Antivirus. There are a lot of free yet decent programs available. A few recommendations:

    Avast!: http://www.av.eu/
    AVG: http://free.avg.com/us-en/download
    McAfee: http://home.mcafee.com/store/Product.aspx?productid=mss

You should be carefully until the SpyBot scan finished, and I highly recommend that you don't login on sites like Hotmail, PayPal or Runescape.
    Good luck and stay safe!

Or as above if you do log onto paypal/hotmail etc use the on-screen keyboard (under accessories) as a keylogger cannot detect this! Also check what cmds you have running and any variations of explorer.exe as malicious programs are often ran under such commands. Normally the website you described, rather than it being a virus it will tell you to install the software to remove the so called 'virus'. The software you then download is the keylogger/virus, so as you X'd out it seems you are safe.

Best to run a scan anyway to be on the safe side :)
