Jagex charging caught bots for accounts back

Leaked from the Pmod forums yesterday.

I can't see anyone wanting to buy back their account once jagex have reset their bank and or skill.

Also this will kill alot of rare items in games :/

It also (very slightly) gives the hint that they may be thinking about opening up a Gold Store.

I doubt the legitimacy of this post.

Why would Jagex give this info to the P mods? What do they stand to gain from it? They're not supposed to be botting at all, so why tell them?

They always had the ability to do that, because they have access to the servers, however they started trying that ability recently :/

 

So when I logged on to find all of my items of any worth were gone from my bank, and I had 1 coin left... That was Jagex?

 

If you are 100% sure your account was secure, no one else had access and you have macro'd on it previously then yes, I believe it was.

 

That's happened to a few people, I had 10m swiped off of my pure which I put the money onto yesterday but my character was also in a different place so who knows?

 

I was in the Feldip Hills but the next time I logged on, I was in the GE and had 21mil wiped off me.

 

Yeah, too many people are complaining about this happening to them :/

 

You might of been infected with a RAT, and the person that infected you with it waited till free trade to clean you out.

 

Lawl, im not gonna pay for an account that has been banned and get it back only to have it rolled back.... >.> id rather just make a new account.

 

Lol the guys above who said they had their wealth ripped off... that wasn't jagex.

You were probably keylogged way beforehand and the hackers waited until free trade to transfer all your stuff
