I feel terrible ;(

Alright, so I got this difficult assigment from my teacher and I thought I'd ask my brother about it.
So I went to his appartment, and he was going to the mall with friends or something.
So he said if I was hungry or something I could just make myself french fries or go to the store and buy me some food.
Usually when I get home I watch "Scrubs", "Malcolm in the middle" and "MacGyver".
So just before MacGyver started I decided to go make myself french fries.
I turned the stove on to full and fryer was already filled a with a little oil. So, I decided not to fill it with more oil as I'd have to clean the current one.
Yeah so I went to his room and started to watch "MacGyver" and was playing Duel Arena at the same time.
Then I smelt a strange smell and I was like oh shit. I ran to the living room and the smell got stronger so I took off my hoody and startet breathing through it.
When I finally arrived to the kitchen there was a huge fire there, I turned off the stove.
I don't know what went through my mind and I put the lock on the fryer whilist there was like 2M fire. Then I opened the balcony door.
After that I ran out and you know took a couple of phonecalls and then everything was solved.
I even had to remind the police to evacuate the building.
My brother lives in an apartment btw.

O btw, The fire people and the police people said I was really brave cause I turned it off and put the lock on.

 

Accidents happen, don't let it get you down. It's not like your burned the whole apartment down.

The kitchen looks like a place were rats are violated ;/

The roof is burnt, you probably can't see it since the light is on.
It used to be white colored but now it's black cause of the fire.

We have already had a chat with different insurance companies and they'll cover it all, but if they didn't then it'd have to be around 6564.94(USD)

 

Shit happens. You did the right thing in that situation.

 

Accidents happen. A situation like that could easily turn life threatening. You did the right thing and risked your life to save his apartment. I'm sure he can't be angry at you for that.

 

You didn't do it on purpose so it's fine
I've had a chip pan fire before to, but luckily mine was only the pan on fire which I quickly managed to put out.
