I believe the Divine Special doesn't work with prayer off (I think I've seen that somewhere, can't find out where though) but I'm not sure. Try to get someone with a Divine to do a test with you (or do it yourself if you have one).

 

I don't see why it wouldn't, divine drains your pray it's not a actual prayer.

 

It still works without prayer its the shield that gives the damage soaking abilities.

Though everyone will be clued up it'll be hard to find someone to stake with shield on.

 

The thing doesn't say prayer book off, it says prayer off.

People used to stake with shield, weapon, and amulet on in mage stakes.

It should still be able to drain your prayer points, and I don't really see any reason for you not to be able to drink a sip of prayer pot now and then - even with prayer off.

 

yeah I doubt anyone will stake with shields on, much less helms plates and legs now that torva is out.

 

i doubt it'll work, but then again like everyones stated, only people with torva are gonna stake with armor

95% of the time your not allowed drinks, specially now since overloads..

 

There is the option to turn melee off.

Also overloads wouldn't work for staking, they take 500lp once you take a sip.

I guess nobody's gonna answer the question with a correct statement? I only asked if it works in duel arena or not. I didn't ask about staking at all, but thanks. Still looking for a response..

Noone will stake you with armor on.
