Mass Ban towards botters?

when have the cops ever told you they aren't going to be busting tons of people?

they don't, even if they are down and out.
that's just bad business if you want loyal supporters.

botting has been around for 15 years, i doubt RS is going to be the game to get rid of it.

May I ask how RS botting has been out for fifteen years when the game's celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

If there is going to be one, it's going to be all of the jagrolled accounts.

 

There will be no Mass ban...Its all just rumors/fake pics.
Why would jagex take the time to reset accounts instead of just banning them right away.

 

ha! no way going to happen...jagex is in for $$$$$$...they'll mass ban powerbot BCEL , auto clickers...but reflection...not even in your dreams.

 

I've done that MORE then once when I was tired, I just clicked to one place. then another, then another, It happens when you can't find anything to do in the middle of the night but don't want to bed, Wouldn't recommend it thought. its a big waste of time.

 

i think all people that have been reset and continued botting will be banned

 

i did not mean to imply rs has been around that long,
let me clarify.

i've been playing mmorpg's since the start of ultima online.
there have been bots, scripts, rwt, since that game came out. hell, probably in muds even.
this was before the third world countries would farm and sell.
you could sell things on ebay for a while with little problems. the only thing that happens is the market and obstacles change.

what i was saying is that every mmorpg is an opportunity to make money for someone. they are going to find a way.
java is a public coding language anyone can learn it.
if people made it, people can reverse engineer it.
there's bots in EVERY mmo.

the cops can't bust everyone who break the law.

jagex isn't going to be the one to defeat botting.

 

If I had a dollar for every thread I see with "Mass ban coming?" or anything along the lines of that. I would be a fucking millionaire.

 

this is stupid it will not happen jagex will lose alot of their income cuz of banning botted accounts. i think they will ban accoutns using crappy bot scripts to make players feel better and make them think they are actually doing something

 

Alright, I didn't want to come off as a dick, just curious. As far as I've heard there's not another MMORPG that people "bot," in.

Exactly. Lately I have been working on getting my IRL str level from 70-80. I'm at 71.

 

Its called a rumor cuz its made up.... if you get banned its from not using safe botting techniques

 

There's been no documented evidence of Jagex mentioning a mass ban. And even if they did, they'd be bluffing.
