Here are some tips. I hope this can help you. Be an educated consumer. Learn about many colleges so you know your other options. Know yourself, and assess your strengths and weaknesses so you can find more than one college that meet your needs. Present yourself honestly and thoroughly in your applications. That way, you can see a rejection as a school simply not being the right fit. Be happy about every school on your list, not just the most selective ones. Re-evaluate your choices. Look at the positive qualities of the other schools. Accept the fact that you have done everything you were supposed to do to get into college. I hope this really helps.

Well to be honest, even though you think that may be the best college for you, by the time you're there for a year or so, you'll realize, in a way, all school are alike. They all have their flaws and aren't always as much as they are said to be.

The school that I am attending right now was said to have a 98% job rate by the time you graduate from here. Yet I hear about people all the time who graduated and have not gotten a job after 6 months of graduation. All schools like to be all hyped up so that you attend there.

I hope you are weighing the college community in your choice more than what they have to offer. Don't just base your decision off the major you want to go into. Take into consideration other things as well.

    Good luck

Small world, same here. I hope you get in.

Thanks for the kind words everybody, I'm not as pissed off as I was yesterday. Life goes on. I'm still crossing my fingers for my second choice, but we'll see.

EDIT: Found what college, why did you want to go? What interests you about the school? Could you find a similar one?
I hope you can, good luck!

the thing with nyu is the transfer rates are extremely low :S, even internal transfers are extremely low. Try to focus on your second choice. It is not the end of the world

NYU so overrated. In my opinion, it's just a school that somehow built a reputation and overcharges for tuitions. And yea i do live in new york and i hate that school. Theres always something good in everything, and the college i went to i didnt think i was gonna like but hey, it wasn't so bad.

dont get your hopes down man, i'm sure you'll find something great within the school you choose.

why not take a year off school or redo a couple courses in which you could better in or reapply next year?

worst case scenario you will just go to your second or third choice and hopefully transfer?

if you find something you can make a lot of money on, and you don't care about being smart then fuck college and do what you make a lot of money on. i repair electronics and CAN make more then i could if i attended college and passed. but its more of a hobby so it only pays for the money i use to have fun.
