Clue Scroll drop limit

Hey I've been farming clue scrolls from goblins for about an hour now. For the first 3 clue scrolls that I got, it only took me about 5 minutes to get the drop after killing enough goblins, but I've been killing them for about half an hour straight now and havent got a single one after those three. It's possible that this could simply be bad luck, but the difference in # I've needed to kill has been so huge. Does anyone know if there's a limit to the amount of clue scrolls that you can get in a certain amt. of time?

 

ive never heard of any limit on them i know i got 6 clue scrolls in one day before but im not sure sorry man.

 

its just bad luck man, keep going at it

 

The drop rates are high for clues I reckon, maybe change monsters?

Thanks for the advice, but if I don't get another one in about 20 minutes I'm gonna have to assume that there's some kind of limit.

 

Sometimes you have dry periods where you don't get one for awhile, just keep trying.

 

Clues are 100% random

 

I understand dry periods and randomness, but after getting the first 3 in about 5 minutes each, and after I just killed goblin after goblin for about a full hour, I am almost positive that there is a limit to the number of clue scroll drops that you can get in a certain period of time. Fuck Jagex.

There really isn't a limit. I can suggest you try another NPC?

 

To keep people from killing tons of goblins for easy scrolls and then getting TT items easier, therefore decreasing their value

Yes well obviously, I just don't think that that's something Jagex would care about to the extent that they would change clue drops.

 

Lol wtf are you killing monsters for level 1 clues? Thieve ham guards takes like 5 mins or less to get a clue. Wear ham clothes to increase thieve success rate.

 

Theres no limit, its like rolling a die, your going to have to keep trying before hitting the number.

 

My thieving is like 17.

And to everyone else, why don't you try to get 4 clue drops in an hr? its easy to get the first 3 and then you can't get another. Don't tell me that I'm wrong when you haven't even tried it for yourself. Jagex has hidden updates all the time.

if you want to get massive clue drops to be honest, the drop rates at cave horrors seem to be hectic for me, and by the time i've finished 3 clues i can easily get another? this is with them dropping every 3 kills on average (fucked up i know o.o)

Theres no limit, if you want alot of easy clues, pickpocket ham members

 

No limit they just get dropped like somedays i could get 5 clues scrolls next day none completley random. But also try doing lvl 3 clues its better money.

 

I used to farm goblin for my clues, then i had to pickpocket some HAM member to get a button for the Animal magnetism quest ... and before i could get a single button, i got 3 clues. I was like WTF, but seriously it's so much easy to get one here. I do 2-3 scrolls per 30minutes. (getting one + resolve)

Sometime i get clue on my FIRST pickpocket (happened 3 times) and some time i get smashed so hard that im nearly dead. Just about luck.
