When Runescape Updates will bots be detectable?

I have heard a lot of fear mongering about bots being detectable already or after the update and mass bans will result. I find this HIGHLY unlikely for several reasons. 1. A HUGE number of paying customers use bots, so do you think Jagex is realy going to eliminate botting completely?

My theory is just that it will be a delayed ban of previous botters who were caught or who are known to be botting. To create the illusion of Jagex doing something about it. Other than that my main concern is what do you guys think? Will botting still be safe in the sense it will be undetectable but you can still be banned from player reports.

I dont think you can just say this. Jagex may have finally developed a system that allows them to detect bot's, and, if they are smart, have had this system in motion for at least a month.

Excercise caution.

 

Botting is always going to be the same. Its kind of like cops and robbers in the way.

What will happen is Jagex will impove software to detect bots. Probably something they do every month of couple of months then some people will get banned then the people that make the bots will make them better then the detection system.

Thing about it is, that thankfully the people that produce the bots have always.... ALWAYS let me repeat ALWAYS been one step ahead of Jagex detection systems and I don't see that changing anytime soon..

Jagex will make or improve their detection system and they will just build off that and produce a better bot.

 

Agreed, look at what RiD did. They made it literally so bad that we had piles, PILES, of yew botters. This made gold farming possible in the first place.

Bots will have a slump if a new system of detection is put in place. But then it just goes right back.

 

I think it'll be undetecable as it always has been. Otherwise, they would not have announced it... Why not just let everyone bot the way they currently do and use their new detection system to ban them in secret?

I believe it to be a bluff. But we'll see, scare tactics only work for a short while until people catch on haha.

 

With the technology going on, to bots, and the way bots are running, it will be impossible for Jagex to do a mass ban, or even detect "all" bots in the future.
No matter how hard Jagex trys, some 15 year old rsbot coder WILL find a way to avoid being detected.

 

With the way things have progressed with bots, in a few years they'll be virtually undetectable.

 

who knows I personally am have given botting up ( for now ) and am working on coding in java

 

RiD didn't even have a yew cutter or other bots back in the days, all it was
that they had was the mage training arena bot. It was only in the recent
year or 2 that they begun producing more bots.

 

The bots will only upgrade to become more undetectable.. Somebody will end up doing it sooner or later ( I hope )
