Market before Our Community?

Same could be said about the markets where they were before...

 

We can live with this. Change can be good for the site aswell - but yeah in general ofcourse it doesn't matter much at all :]

 

I'm not really a fan of it but it's probably just until I get used to it.

 

I can see this working for the majority of the site (Mainly the marketeers.) So it works for the new updates coming out in the next week. For me personally though, I nearly started moderating in the market section -.-

I think its fine, I got used to it already and if it helps the site, then thats good too.

 

Well, this is the 'craigslist of virtual goods' so I don't see why the market wouldn't come first.

I disagree with not seeing the news/announcements, there should be a section specificly for that at the top of the forum.

 

The market folk finally got something. Move the News up to the top and we'll all be used to this before we know it.

 

Could you move the scam report section a little higher up? It looks a little lost down there.

 

It's gonna take some getting used to, but so did Nextgen.

 

How about to the bottom of the market section.

 

The reasons are solid for changing the order, but I'm not a huge fan. Initially, I thought I was demoted, haha(didn't see the staff lounge).

Could we perhaps change the "Our Community" to "Community Forums"? It makes more sense as we're not using personal pronouns elsewhere.

 

Agreed, and yes i thought the same thing but with the donator forums

I understand why the market is first, it's our priority, but the large majority of sites have their community forums ranked higher than general RS discussion forums.

 

Change the Aion and xbox market. Switch them spots.

 

Also the minecraft section should be above the world of warcraft section, since it only has 1 sub-forum, it won't look good in between 2 big other game sections, so having at the top of the start games section would look better/

 

Put all the games at the top. That is the main user base. Then put Offtopic, then ue or graphics, then programming stuff with our community at the bottom.

Oh and use a page anchor to just jump down to the community section for the link.

 

Why not also take this update as a chance to reorganize the markets as well as other forums. There's multiple suggestions about them, including one that I posted (http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=987095). It would make the forum and sub-forums look better.

 

I support this change.
