Do you use drugs? If so why?

I've done pretty much everything multiple times other than crack. The only reason that I do drugs is because I enjoy them. I've faced heavy opiate and benzo addictions, so I know the seriousness of drugs, but also only blame myself. Now the only thing I do daily is smoke weed. I'm still willing to do anything if it's around, but I definitely don't consider myself an addict anymore. I don't regret anything I've done and I've enjoyed the experiences that I've had over the years. I don't see a reason why drugs should be a problem as long as one is able to control themselves and not let it negatively affect their life.

Why ? Why do people drink alcohol ?

Weed can be a sociable and enjoyable pass time, with no death rates or people commiting suicide whilst being high on marijuana unlike alcohol which is legal.

someone overdosed on alcohol will do ludicris things.

I do 'drugs' because i enjoy it, im half jamaican half english and i'd say marijuana is a part of me.... even though i dont smoke very often

I'd like to try shrooms i hear the experiences can be amazing.

I'd never try any hard drugs ever... i've been offered cocaine free at parties before and declined. I decided i dont want to go down that route.

 

I have tried Weed before. and i have only ever have one good high feeling out of about 5 times trying weed.

all the other times it just made me very dizzy and kind of like a head buzz ( which i hated )

another time i just got major laughs and had a light body buzz and no heavy head. ( this was the best one out of the times i have tried it )

Will never ever under any circumstances try anything else nor will i ever try weed again.
Its just not for me including the fact that for the quantity you get now its not considered cheap, or not cheap for me anyway.

i have not touched beer cigarettes or any drugs in over a year.
call me boring but health is more important for me

Cigs
Dip
Weed
Any alcoholic beverage you can think of
Not going to try anything serious because I'm playing sports, yes multiple sports in college.

I mostly do it for the buzz and what else does a senior in high school do on a Friday/Saturday night with his whole senior class?!

 

Drugs are a route to no-where... but at least it's a scenic route.
I do them to escape sobriety.

 

Banning cigarettes but legalizing marijuana makes no sense, i believe alcohol can be used recreationally... and if someone wants to drink then they should be able to.

Just hard drugs like cocaine, heroine etc are the ones that i personally believe should stay banned. But i know users who can use and happily not use again for another few months.

 

No I don't, because a friend of mine spends all his cash on weed and looks like a tramp, which is enough to put me off.

You'd be surprised how much it's changed my social life, I didn't have many friends a couple of years ago, but since I've been smoking it seems to make everything easier, I'm more willing to do things I haven't done before, I have a lot more friends (and they aren't the typical wannabe badass weed-smoking type, either, they're nice people). You have to remember that it depends on the person who uses drugs.

 

The TV ads? Those aren't even accurate, I've never "melted into the couch" by smoking weed...

Although I'd like to find some of that shit they are smoking to be melted into the couch, looks interesting to me lol.

 

Nope, only have smoked weed a few times.. it's better than what alcohol does to you.. but I still didn't enjoy it like I thought I would. Everything else.. I won't touch.

I have been clean for 6 years.. When I was a junior in highschool a friend of mine was killed in a car wreck. I became a pill head. Had to sell to support my own habits. I was eventually busted, put in yoc for 5 months and house arrest for 4 months after that. I did them so I could escape the reality that my friend was dead and I was still left here.

 

Drugs wreck your life, the biggest drug trading was in the Opium Wars - 1800s.

Take drug once and depending on what drug it is, can leave you addicted - and also massive withdrawal symptoms - you can die when you stop taking Opium once addicted.

 

Sorry, but it's impossible to have withdrawal symptoms from taking a drug once, that's ridiculous.

I hate the ignorants who listen to what they were tought in high school about drugs. I am a casual user of about everything but meth, its just a nice escape and theres nothing wrong with most drugs. Just LIVE LIFE, drugs are fine. It's drug addiction and mis-use that are the source of the bad hype.

Ofcourse theres a couple drugs that are plain and simply bad but not very many.
