Boots of lightness question

Do you need to actually start Temple of Ikov to get the boots of lightness? I know that you can get in the temple without starting it, but can you also get the boots?

 

Boots of lightness are weight-reducing equipment. Although they (or some other weight-reducing item) are required during the Temple of Ikov (quest), they can be obtained and worn by anyone (members-only) at any time, even without starting the quest.

A friend of mine recently went and got them, and he hadn't started the quest.

 

Yeah im almost postive you dont need to start the quest. If you do the point to where you have to get the boots takes about 5 minutes tops.

 

You don't have to touch that quest one bit.. Just go down the ladder by the magic trees south of Seers then down the stairs in the underground place you'll end up at.. make sure you have a light source and a knife to cut the web. Just pick up the boots.

 

Yeah, I got a pair on my skiller (0 QP and non-started)

 

Same here. I collected a few for like.. a solid hour.

 

If you're around there it only takes half a minute to get them.
Just bring a lit candle and a knife.
