Veracs, or Torags?

Hey, I'm confused atm. I've got a staker that's currently 70 / 35 / 70. Should I buy Veracs, or Torags?

I'd say torag's.

 

Torags has better overall defence bonuses.

Veracs has a nice prayer bonus if ur going to be using prayer.

 

Torags for sure....Better bonuses and what not...

 

Okay, but then how come people call 70/**/70 "VERAC stakers" ? :S

 

Buy full verac, but also buy the torag top, same stats basically, just a bit less range defense.

 

because they buy full verac and leave prayer on in stakes, then use pro melee the whole time.
and the other person will pray too but the verac hits through it.

 

Depends on the staking your doing. Coton is right. They call them that, because they use full verac and use it to it's advantage while hitting through armour and prayer. If your not going to be leaving prayer on or be using the flail, there's no point in getting verac. : P

 

Torag's with obby shield and whip works wonders.

 

It hits through prayer AND armour.

 

This. Verac's hitting through armour helps when fighting other tanks. I usually do this on my tank staker

Fighting someone with 1 def - Torag
Fighting someone with 40 def - Torag
Fighting someone with 60 def - Verac (Torag if they don't wear full dragon)
Fighting someone with 70+ def - Verac

You can easily make a item switcher to change gear quickly. I'd say stake 500k or so 100+ times before you go higher. Helps you get a feel of how your build works best, how to get first hit, item switch quickly and learn scams of the duel arena,

 

This. This is a great post and I do the exact same thing. Currently, I am 9-1 in 10 stakes, with the one loss being to someone 9 levels higher. I have also beaten said person.
