Could Jagex sue me?

Well I live in the US, Texas to be exact. I was wondering if there is any legal way that I could get in trouble for selling RS gold. I have tons of gold piling up and want to sell it for real cash but I don't want any legal actions taken against me.

 

I don't think they would want to do that. Most they can and would do is ban you for RWT'ing (Real World Trading).

 

the only possible thing they can do to you is ban you for rwt. you break a rule and are punished accordingly (which according to jagex protocol, is simply banning your rs account)

There have been lawsuits brought up in larger cases such as the rsbots domain take over, and the kbot letter that was forced to be written by the owner of the site to give up all claim and reserved rights to kbot, or be pursued legally. In your case it is too minor to be dealt with, Jagex likes going after the bigger people who serve a larger amount of rs players. You are pretty safe i would say.

 

they could but they probably won't. You're breaking their terms of service in a way that could be spun to make a lawsuit.
