A thought on staking with spec on

So I had an idea in my head about staking with special on. No armor and only main hand on. with spec on.

Now what lets say an 80 80 80 vs 99 99 1.

the 80 80 80 uses staff of light spec at beginning then just whips.

the 99 99 1 uses dds specs and then whips.

who wins the fight?

also what about if the 80 80 80 has 99 ranged uses staff of light and then rune knives and the 99 99 1 uses everything the same. who wins?

Actually a Excalibur owns SOL, I won 95% of the time.

But if your a smart staker you learn to watch his weapon before specs begin so you can tell if his up to something sus but even when I dds specd while they sol spec'd it was a very close fights.

You have to use SOL the whole 1 minute with it equipped for the effect to stay, or else it goes away once unequipped.

Actually, SOL would be fine using it on, it's quite a good melee weapon.

The 80/80/80 account is like 7 cbs higher, so what a stupid question.

And yeah I've tested out sol in the duel arena no arm spec on and it's a really good tactic. You have to use it though to get the effect, you can't spec then change to a rapier or anything.

 

my bad i was just throwing numbers out. I didnt know the spec went away when you take the staff off.
i do know the staff is a really good weapon on it's own though so that would be an interesting option to try. I'm going to test this before update comes out.

 

get an enhanced excalibur and use the special after about 2 hits.
the enhanced excalibur (from seers diary) special heals you little bits at a time plus gives the def bonus.

I think you need 70+ pray to get it though :\

 

Obviously the 80, 80, 80 but gl on the range, anyone sensible is going to not allow that unless they are using it themselves

 

well the 80/80/80 will win cuz its a bunch of cmb lvls higher-.-
