I think like $0.50 if you buy bulk.

$1 if your buying like 50m and under.

    1) The reason many people dont sell Gold is because not alot of people know transfer methods

    2) When FT is out, thousands of accounts with gold sitting there will finally be able to sell there GP

    3) Expect a Drop in GP prices

    4) Wrong section(movednow)

    5) One person wont curve the price of GP selling

There is something called the business cycle and runescape gold sales are no different.

1 - Prices will drop immediately after the free trade is re-introduced.

2 - Gold sellers will either find a way to make a lot more GP so that they make the same amount of real life cash or they will go out of business. Why? It's not worth it. Why would gold sellers sell 1 billion GP for $250 when they spent a month to get that 1 billion? 250$ a month is not good for most serious gold sellers. They'll simply move on to a better way of making money.

    What happens then?

3 - Gold prices go up. They will rise from the low prices they were right after the free trade was re-introduced. Why? The people who are still in the business of selling mills refuse to sell for low prices because it's not worth it otherwise.

It goes in an everlasting cycle of drops and raises.

I agree with hogs and IMO the Same will happen with rares prices. They will fall now that free trade is introduced and probably they will later rise because of common supply and demand rules.

You have a valid point, but your examples in number 2 are just bad. 1b in a month won't be how it is. $250 for a bil is also very off. Runescape is becoming easier and easier to make gold. Huge differences in the game than it was in 2007. You can get 35+ kills at bandos solo'ing compared to back then when you could get just a few. You can get 100m+ a day doing gwd. Why would you think it'll be like $2/mil if you can get 100m+ a day doing gwd? That'd be $200 a day playing Runsecape. It's not how it's going to be. The work selling off gp won't even exist anymore. Most people couldn't sell off gold due to the fact there was no method and the methods required you needed 5b+ to sell it off. There's always more updates making gold easier to come by more bosses, chaotic, overloads, turmoil, etc. There will no way gold will go up. All of these updates are making it different from what you've stated. I know gold will be going down and it'll be staying that way. Gold dropped alot after the update, not due to just the grand exchange. The gp made through the grand exchange wasn't all just pure profit, somebody ended up having to keep the junk. When that person kept the junk that the other person manipulated the profits were still going down. Meaning, that the gp was still the same through the grand exchange. More supply than demand after this update, and it'll always stay that way. Gold will drop and it'll never go back up to the prices that it used to be..

Good. I wanted to see if anyone was smart enough. The constant inflation is the flaw in what I previously said (I said that on purpose to see if anyone would realize it).

I am certain that Jagex has thought of a new detection method, meaning most botters will be banned.
After free trade is re-introduced, here is what I think will happen.
    - There will be lots of Gp = price drop
    - Botters banned = no more GP
    - All GP sold, no more supply from botters = price rise
I'd like the price to be around 2-3/m. But i'm guessing the price for gp will be more than than.

Personally, I think gold will drop to around 1/mil at minimum if people don't totally panic and start selling low.

dont forget about the re-appearance of the chinese bots. remember all the bald bearded yellow shirt green sweatpants bots always cutting yews? well they will come back.

why do i state this theory? gold farmers will be earning more money then people like pkers, can use the money. hence that fact that if theres more supply then demand, then gold = go down.

Yep. Doubtful that it'll be yews though. I bet anything it'll be sorc garden bots. Overall mass bots will be the best income. Bots couldn't make the cash that they can now a days either, especially with the little requirements.

If gold sellers are worried... the solution is to create a trust. Everyone must band together.

its the human instinct of people to "panic" no matter what some1 will be like. hell of it. im selling low.

not to mention. the competition people will have against each other. lets say its like .60 cents from the original panic. people will obviously say again the hell of it im dropping price. just 2 make a quick buck. that's how i see it.

I seriously think you're just parroting SUPPLY AND DEMAND DERP DERP without realising what it means in this context. You're totally ignoring the fact that there are loads of new players + a shitload of old pkers/stakers returning to the game + people who were too scared to buy gold before, all of whom are going to want to buy up the gold.

It also means that the major gold sellers with 15-20b+ won't have to hand transfer the money at 10M/h rates anymore, allowing them to sell for less.
