vps questions

I read in other threads about people using vps to bot on several accounts.

What is a vps and how does it work?
How many accounts could i run on a vps system?

 

A VPS is a virtual private server. Depending on number accounts you can run is depending how much ram you have on the Vps. I got my vps from photonvps and set it up myself. If you need any more help u can add my msn [email protected]

For 5 accounts you should try the gold plan from seerhost.com For 10, get 2 gold VPS's.

There's a lot of info about botting on VPS's on the website, including tutorials. The support is catered to botting so you can count on getting any issues solved easily.

 

You would not be able to run over 2 bots on any cheap $5-10/month Vps they are usually 2Gb ram if not then there not good. Its easier to buy several cheap VPS and bot 1 on each VPS at a time, they perform alot better if you keep the numbers down.

 

yeah this is true in most cases. A lot of providers don't scale CPU resources with RAM allocations. This is not the case at seerhost but don't expect it from others. Otherwise, it is recommended to have a couple larger VPS's because each container uses resources (desktop environment, client, etc.) before you even start a script.

 

Rsbotsvps is great, customer support get backs to you very quick. I used to use them, before I got ripped of $30. (I signed up the day, they had there provider ban/stop using java. And IMO , with proof of transaction I paid after they must have known, never was compisanted for my $30 loss)

Photonvps is great, and rsbots.net have a guide how to use centOs, and there is a half price coupon out there as well. If you going run mutiple bots as stated above easier run on one account, as I have found even with the higher end of Rams they still tend to lag more.

Well I just bought a vps from rsbotvps.com and they sent me the information to the vps.. I cant even connect to the vps via putty :s says cannot connet.. idk why.. Kiwi can you help me? i have submitted tickets..

 

I'm looking for a cheap host that can offer me a standard/beginners VPS for around €15. Windows, don't really care about RAM but it has to host some small servers (like a CS:S or maybe RSPS).
