    Laptops turned slow!

Well, it started around 2 weeks ago. I was in bed, on my laptop and i knocked the top of the screen quite hard (bunk beds) on the top bed when i went to put it away.

Over the next few days my laptop was getting slower and slower, until it just died, crashing, nothing would load, couldn't open folders ect.

I figured I'd broke the hard drive, so I went and bought a new one. I then installed windows ect. and have around 203gb out of 250gb free (I don't fill my laptop up with crap, just necessities) This was the same as before i replaced the hard drive.

But, with this hard drive, my laptop seems slow, it lags on firefox, lags typing messages some times, slower start up time ect. My processor and ram rating went down to 3.4, i took my laptop to pieces and put it back together, just incase anything had been knocked out, andit went back to 5.1.

Have I.. Could I have broken something else? If so, what is it? I'm on a core 2 duo and 3gb ram, but firefox shouldnt lag on that, and didn't lag on that to be more precise.

Perhaps you could try reformatting? If that doesn't work, let an expert check your hardware.

I think you may have done something to the motherboard where you'd probably need a soldering kit and some spare equipment to fix it if possible for which reason it's best to leave it to someone that knows what they are doing. Open up your laptop again and scan your motherboard closely for anything that may look odd.
