What's the best way to go for my Range Tank?

Hey there

My range tank has the following stats: 82 const, 92 range, 79 magic, 46 prayer, 70 def. What should I do? As in, what stats should I be getting? Ill be wanting to wildy pk once it returns. What gear setup should I use? etc (I have 17 mil just in case you need to know)

Go get yourself 85 dungeoneering.
With the tokens you earn along the way :
- Rigour (Boosts defence by 25% and range by 20%)
- Get yourself 99 range and 94/99 magic, for venge and barrage.
- 85 dungeoneering allows you to kill frost dragons, arguably one of the best money making methods in the game.
- Chaotic Crossbow if you want.
- Stay 75 attack & Strength, don't get more then that.
- Get 99 defence via slayer/Frost dragons.

When you pk, you want to be wearing say..
- Torags helm
- D'hide body and legs.
- Dragon boots/Snakeskin boots/rune boots.
- Glory
- Ava's accumulator
- Rune c'bow
- Dfs if you have one - If not, then an obby shield or so.
- Use venge all the time..

This is just a rough guide line, but I personally think it's the best way to go - Good luck!

 

i 100% agree with the ''Seanly'' if you dont wanna do all that, just spend the 17m on 94 mage (stunning), youll lose it all but ye, make it all back pking if your any good,

 

I completely disagree with seanly, I've been a tank ranger for the past 3 years.

1) make sure you max out at combat 100-101, as it's not fun to fight other maxed tanks.
2) get rigour
3) 94mage for venge/barrage
4) and don't use d boots/rune boots as they suck for tank rangers
5) if possible, get up to 70att/str, If you want to get higher don't get 148 att/str combined in any case.
