Yes and no. There are hundreds of "rare" names now available, especially early alphabet ones. Nowadays, the most valuable rare names are ones that have some special meaning to a person. "Music" is more rare than another common word like "Chair."

Yeah, thats not the correct way to view this situation.

With display names as someone else stated most "rare names" are common as muck.

However, if you had names like 'Pk', 'A' or say a real name like 'Simon' those I would say would be rarer than common words such as 'Cupboard' or 'Chocolate' if you get what I mean.

It all depends on who is buying it, how rare the name is.

E.G If someone would be selling the name 'Amethyst' (which some twat stole as a display name), i'd find it to be alot rarer than say the name 'Jonathan', which is clearly rare, but to me worthless ingame, but could be a good investment.

 

I'd personally pay like 5 usd for aqua i think.
