GrindScape... >.<

So RuneScape is very long winded, and it takes you a long time to get anywhere in terms of levels, monetary gain, achievements, etc.

RS is argueably a boring game on face value, but gets much more interesting in PvP and higher level PvM raids/events.


What if we could cut out the grind that is required to get there? Botting is an easy out.. but i mean.. what if we could just decide our stats for PvP?

How about a step further? Why bother with all those quests in the first place. They exist as a means to an end. We complete them to directly benefit us or satisfy our goals, such as a Weapon, new Magic book, Experience or other quests that are required to acheieve aforementioned things.


Would you guys be in support of this kind of ideal? i know there are Private servers with increased xp rates, but im talking about the proper RuneScape game. Do you guys like this grind?

 

Most people don't just play runescape to pk. People play it because they enjoy gaining levels and gearing up there accounts. Thats just what some people like, and some of us like to pk because its our form of fun. Pking is Simply one of the many things you can do on runescape and some people enjoy so much that they devote their accounts to it.

 

That's what the bots are for sir. Anyone that's not using a bot is very stupid imo, unless they are new to the game and its all fun and all.

 

I like servers like these. GuildWars had a server where you started out max level and could fight other max leveled characters in PvP. WoW came out with their Arena servers which I also like. I don't think Jagex will do that though. They make way too much money from people who have to spend mass amounts of time leveling up skills / grinding money.

lol some people like leveling there char and making money slowly sometimes gaining life long friends. its not for everyone.

Legit is how to be.

 

The majority of people on RS play to increase their levels, banks, etc.. not pk. While it is one of the best features of RS, it isn't the only feature as most hardcore pkers seem to make it out to be. I enjoy making my account better overall by skilling and training more than I do pking.

Also, whether or not you bot has no bearing on your intelligence.

I've always thought they should increase quest xp rewards. This would bring so many players into the game because no one would be bored anymore.

Heck, if they did this I would be fine with them raising all skills to 120.

You're right. And some people prefer to gain friends in real life and actually make real money as opposed to "play" money.

Dude. Just shut up. You're not better than anybody because you bot. I have nothing against botters and I bot quite a bit myself but that doesn't mean you can run around spouting shit saying that people who don't bot are stupid, have no life, etc..

I think you're missing the part where games are meant to be played + enjoyed. I love botting just as much as the next guy but for real, get off of your power trip.

The nature of Dungeoneering was supposed to remove the 'grind' factor from training the skill, but it still kinda failed.

Jagex is trying, at least.
