Jagex detect RWT?

When a RL friend of mine started (before trade cap) I would give them 20mil to start off. Under the condition that they wouldn't waste it on junk and if they decided not to play anymore, they'd return the money or pass me the account (which would then serve as my bot )

I think the only thing they can prove is if you transfer money from a botted account to your main.

 

I wouldn't be worried guys, relax, if you're unsure, just stake.

I believe it's more of a scare technique. Bots keep updating and getting better. Really the only thing they can do is ban the users that use bots and just make it sound like they are in control. If they were, a lot of us (me included) that have botted for months/years would be banned, but were not.

 

Jagex isn't going to check if every trade is linked to RWT, but I think they track the levels. So for example if a level three trades huge amounts of gold to higher levels multiple times then it will draw attention. There's no way they can see though which gold is botted and which is not.

 

I think friends will play a part in this, some random person isn't likely to walk upto you and give you 100m, whereas a friend may. I guess for the evidence they will look if they've been friends, IP's, conversations between you and the person ect.

 

If the person receiving already has pretty much the same amount of gold and you both put up the same amount then yeah. That would be a good idea.

 

What if I put 60m on my pure and I just say its my lil bro that has started playing, and Im quitting and I dont want to break the "Account sharing" rule?

 

One of the ways might be that if they can tell if you remove someone from your friends list?

E.g.
You add someone, give them gold, remove the person from friends list, if they can detect that, then that would be a main way I imagine.

 

Jagex is obligated to say "Dw guys, we got this under control", so that the 12 year old legit nerds don't freak out.

Can you imagine the mass hysteria if Jagex announced "Okay, we give up, we can't stop bots. Some bots are just too good/humanlike for us, so we give up".

Same goes for RWT.

Scaremongering IMO. I think they will check friends list times etc, but if buying gold, just add the person like a week before and talk to them in-game now and then.

They can dectect it, simply by flagging the GP's seller account/gold and following it through untill the purchase that's when you get banned. However this is only if you buy from chinese gold farmers.

 

How about if they are able to detect the gold seller?

Let's say the gold seller has an account worth 500M. He then goes out and "trades" increments of 5-100M to say, 20 different accounts over a length of a few days. If Jagex looks at each of those 20 accounts, they would notice that none of them had known the gold seller personally (e.g. not on friends list) and those twenty accounts would most likely be the gold buyers.

Even in staking, who's to say jagex doesn't have something similar? One large account staking away 500M in fights that he had no chance to win, didn't bother to try.

I believe that if Jagex was so quick to bring back Free trade and RWT then they must have something that is just as effective as the trade limits (which were ineffective anyway) to catch RWT/stop it. If they didn't, then Jagex really has me confused.

I agree. Even if there is some new way of detecting us, we'll just figure it out and cope with it.

 

friend list is a quite obvious one, if you just quickly trade someone you haven't had added before it will register it most likely(big trades)
