Paypal Help with *gift* option

Not sure where to post this i have looked so if a mod could move it if this is not the place thanks.


1 Question about PayPal... How can i Confirm/know if some has sent me payment as gift or not? it twice i have accepted payment thinking it was sent as gift and then having it put on held after the buying got my account/accounts

Example i sold one of my wow accounts, guy sent payment, i asked if it was sent as gift he said yes, and then 10 minutes after we traded (like we did this trade 40 minutes ago) i log back into paypal and seen the 120 is on hold now he made a claim........., Now i gotta call Blizz on monday and go through all that crap for it.... sigh Or... what can i say to insure maybe winning the dispute?

When you have recieved the payment, it should not have the sellers address. If they sent it regularly, their shipping address will be visible when you look at the transaction details.

 

oh ok, yeah there is no shipping address but he was still able to claim a dispute..

I honestly don't know how he did that then. Maybe he's doing it through his credit card company, I'm really not sure. Sorry I couldn't help :/

Oh well next time i will verify that its sent as gift in my email before handing anything over
